Words of Wisdom for 2019!

Hello Faith Life!

Pastor Ron here.

Let’s talk about strength.

What is strength?

Is it power?

Is it resolve?

In our ever-changing culture of being connected by way of our devices, power is important.

If your phone battery is getting low, you find yourself quickly looking for a charger; or perhaps the battery will not even hold a charge, and you need to charge it more often.

Or maybe the duration your phone will hold a charge is so short you cannot stand it anymore, and you are now looking to replace the battery, or in today’s rapid environment, the entire phone.

Well, your soul is like that battery—you need to plug it into the source of God and His Word to strengthen yourself.

Do you notice after being in His presence that you feel alive, recharged, and ready to face the day?

Answers also come when we stop and rest in His presence.

Did you know that the word strength or its derivatives appear over 360 times in the Bible?

And the Greek word for power is dunamis. This word refers to strength, power, or ability. It is the root word of our English words dynamite, dynamo, anddynamic.

In the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14, the servants are given wealth based on their dunamis, or their “ability” to handle money. However, dunamis is not just any power; the word often refers to miraculous power or marvelous works. God has inherent power residing in Him, and Dunamis is part of His nature.

So, when you plug into His power, you will be recharged, refreshed, and ready to face your day.

It is God’s ability in us which enables us to accomplish anything of value, and apart from Him, we can do nothing.

It is His strength that makes us overcomers!

So plug in and experience His pure strength.

Have a blessed, “plugged-in” day!
