Seeing Through Heaven's Eyes

Pastor Gary Keesee

We need to rewire the way we think.

We have toxic emotions and we use toxic words, and both begin with toxic thoughts. We have to get it straight. We have to stop allowing the enemy to steal our identity, our value, and our dreams.

An amazing man of God, and our dear family friend Leif Hetland talked about this recently. He said we have to rewire the way we think. Then he reminded us of David, who was anointed by God, but had to live in a cave. David was in the worst-case scenario, but he changed the environment, and he changed the lives of 400 men. 400 men who had lost their identity, dignity, value, and dreams400 so-called loserswere never the same because of David.

No matter what situation you’re in, you can change the environment.

If you have a giant in front of you, consider it an invitation for you to get a promotion. You can either look at that giant and be crippled by fear and insecurity, or you can consider it an opportunity for an upgrade.

Start seeing things from the right perspective. When Jesus got the news about Lazarus, he had a different perspective than everyone else. In John 11:4 we see that Jesus pretty much said, “You’re looking at this wrong. This sickness isn’t for death, but for the glory of God.”

Leif’s new book, Seeing Through Heaven’s Eyes, expands on this and helps us get a proper view of God. And, once we get a proper view of Him, we can get a proper image of ourselves, and of everything else.

So, start seeing things the way God does.
